I knew Lee was a special person from the first time I met him. We worked on many articles with his considerate and helpful editing earl in his career. I lost track of Lee over 30 years ago as he moved on in his career . He was a colleague and friend. May he rest in peace .Doug Jackson
Denise left a message on May 9, 2020:
Dear Joann and family I am so sorry. Lee was an amazing person in many ways My favorite memories of Lee were our summers spent hanging out at grandmoms. We always had something fun to do and maybe once in awhile got into a little trouble. Lee never changed through the years. He was always kind to everyone and took everything in stride never getting angry. I thank him for always looking out for me and being not just a cousin but close friend. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in awhile I kept track of him when talking to my Uncle Jim or brother Bill. The only consolation I can think of is that he’s with Aunt Jane again and grandmom. Our mom’s passed away within a year of each other my prayers are and I know they are all together happy and whole again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Years have passed since the time we were connected by our children being friends, but many good, meaningful talks with Lee are fondly remembered. Lee was a wonderful man in general, but he was an extraordinary family man. We are very sorry for your loss, and we hope you find peace and comfort in your memories. - Julie & Phil Mazzoni

Dear Joann, Kyle, Kurt, Jane & Riley - Please accept our deepest condolences. Although we didn’t get to see each other lately, all of you were and shall remain in our prayers. We know how hard it is to lose someone as special as Lee. I will take comfort in the 40 years of laughter that we shared - every memory I have, we are laughing. We pray that all of you can find comfort and strength in your memories. Love you all. Jean and Ryan.

"Together we will always be until the stars grow cold ...and so I take this chance to write the sweetest story told...since first we met my life has been a narrative sublime...my one regret is that we have so very little time...for it would take a million years to rightly tell your worth...I'd have to use all precious things embracing heaven & earth...what then can such as I relate that would do justice to one so much beyond compare and wonderful as you..."I love you" is the only thing that's left to write for its the sweetest story told." I love you always - Me
