(nee Almond) On February 18, 2023 of Washington Twp. Age 45. Beloved wife of Matthew. Devoted mother of Marissa and Brynn. Loving daughter of James and Elizabeth (nee Doherty) Almond. Dear sister of Patrick James Almond (Joanna).
Lauren Stavola was the most beautiful, loving and kind soul I have ever met. She was my rock and is the reason I am the person I am today. She was most proud of the work she did as an educator for Holly Glen Elementary and as the mother of our two girls, Marissa and Brynn. An avid Dave Matthews Band fan, an artist and someone that worked as hard as she played. Her spirit could never be dampened, even in the hardest times. She was the life of the party and a joy to all who knew her.
She had a personality that lit up any room. Her laugh was contagious; I will miss this the most. Her smile instantly made us feel better, like we were the most important person in the world. There has never been anyone else like her. And there never will be again. I can only hope to raise our children the best way I know how and make you happy that I was the one your chose. Goodbye my angel. The answer to my prayers. We send you back to the heavens from where you came. I am so lucky to have been your husband.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 6:00 – 9:00 PM and Friday 10:30 – 11:30 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lauren’s memory may be made to Matt Stavola for his children’s future education c/o Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ 08012.

Lauren and I attended Rowan together. We were both working on special Ed certification. A short two years later Lauren was my son, Ben's kindergarten teacher. Ben is on the spectrum and was nonverbal when he started with Lauren. She was always so patient and helped in grow in so many ways. I will be forever grateful of the phone call I received from her to tell me Ben told her "no!" She knew what that meant to me. Rest in peace you were so very loved.

I remember when we hired her as a special needs teacher, so full of enthusiasm and creativity and was so kind and caring for each child in her care. I am so glad she followed her dream of “ formally” teaching Visual Arts to All of the children at HG.
You truly never knew she had a bad day , especially after instructing some really challenging students.
Her actions demonstrated a Christian attitude to ALL she came in contact with!
Lauren will be so missed by all of the students and faculty of Holly Glen Elementary School!
