Keith C. Wadleigh
Age 45, of East Greenwich Township, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2025. A dedicated father to his beloved daughters, Emma Grace and Shea Elyse, Keith’s life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and his tireless commitment to serving his community.
Keith was employed at East Greenwich Township Public Works; where he served his community by tending to the township’s water and sewer systems, public parks, sporting fields, and more. Keith joined East Greenwich Fire Department in 2011 as a volunteer and moved through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and also served many years as Head Trustee. He dedicated countless hours to educating, protecting, and serving others. His sense of duty and bravery were unparalleled.
Keith also moonlighted with National Event Services for over 20yrs where he provided security for concerts, festivals, and gatherings. Notable experiences included the Apostolic Visit to the United States of America (2008) and aiding the Secret Service with protection of a former First Daughter during Made in America.
Keith was the grandson of Albert and Phyllis Lawrence, who instilled him with a deep sense of pride, integrity, and dedication. His strong work ethic and moral compass defined his character. He was admired by all who knew him. Whether it was in his professional or volunteer work, Keith approached every task with unmatched determination. He strived to make the world a better place for his family, friends, and community.
In addition to his daughters, Keith is survived by his wife, Jessica; parents, Richard and Elaine Wadleigh; siblings, Kandi Conti (Mike Conti), Marci McCall (Bill McCall), Kenneth Wadleigh, Meegan Wadleigh. He was a proud uncle to Hunter and Hudson Conti. He will be missed by his family, friends, and throughout the community he served. His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of service, kindness, and devotion endures.
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 20th from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM to honor Keith’s life. Internment will be at Eglington Cemetery. Luncheon to follow.
