Kathie made everyone feel special. We all felt we had a unique connection to her. She was helpful and kind; efficient at her job. Her job in Ventnor wasn’t easy, she was bombarded by requests and problems all day long. Yet, she was rarely annoyed. She had spunk too and stood up for what she believed. I remember her saying that “children were a gift from God.” So was she. I miss her.

Kathie I miss seeing your face every morning. You were my first hello at school. You were so loving, caring, and kind like a second mother. I will miss your phone calls making sure I don’t come back to work too soon when I was sick. I will miss our times in the office when it was just you and I during casual days. I miss our laughs. You were so kind to me when I came back to work after the death of my father. There will always be something missing in that office and in my heart.

I have so many good memories of being around the Venere household when I was younger. She always welcomed me with open arms. So very sorry for her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with Mike, Marcie, and your entire family.

Kathie was my link to the elementary school. Whenever I dialed "5000" for help with something (book fair class schedules, feeding the fish in Nancy's room, etc) dear sweet Kathie would always be there for me. She was patient and kind, and treated everyone with respect. She will be missed by one and all. RIP
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My dearest friend, you will be missed tremendously by all the hearts you blessed with your unconditional love. Zena and I will miss our walks with you and Shelby. I will definitely miss our long heart felt talks and the laughs we had. You were my rock while my family lives so very far away. Fly high with your fellow angels and until we meet again, I love you!!

We wanted to share our condolences with Kathleen’s family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3, 4. Our pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we love so much. We hope you find comfort in those promises.

Kathie, I’ll see your smile in the sun and hear your laugh in the breeze. I’ll save my tears for the rain and know you’re keeping an eye on me always. I love you dear friend.

Kathie- you were one of a kind! From CST when I first met you as a sub 10 years ago, to helping me navigate the ins and outs as an elementary teacher, to my move up to middle, you always made me feel special. Little did I know you had that effect on so many! I led my class to the auditorium this afternoon and, as usual, I stopped outside the office to peek in and trade a smile and a wave with you. The heaviness of my heart hit me hard and brought me to our new reality. I miss your smile, your laugh, your friendship. I miss you. ?

You were the heart and soul of the VECC. No words to adequately describe the impact you had on all of us. You always said how lucky you were to have us. But we were the lucky ones to have you. Love and miss you always❤️

Dearest kath- Thank you for loving me each and everyday of our 18 years together. Always being there for everyone! Being one of our biggest cheerleaders! Loved watching you devour panko chicken, taco salad or anything I brought for you (by 9:30 am)! You will always be with us at the VECC! We are all so blessed by your love. Rest easy my friend! I promise I’ll get all the summer handouts done before end of June! I’ll stand at your desk and roll my eyes for you when I say, yeah I’ll get that! Love you my sweet angel! Until we meet again...

Miss Kathie will be greatly missed by my son and I. She was always so caring and sweet to Joseph, especially when he was having a tough time. She took him right under her wing and I am forever grateful to her for that. Her kindness and warmth were a real gift to the students, staff, and parents at the Ventnor School. Xoxo -Katie and Joseph Costello

My dear sweet Kathie, what will I ever do without you. You were such an amazing friend, so kind, caring, thoughtful and helpful. Who is going to show me how to use the fax machine correctly or remind me when I am past due on student of the month? Who is going to listen without judgement to all of my craziness. Who will guide me through that craziness and give me advice. Kathie, I am so incredibly honored to have had you in my life the past 18 years. You were like a mother to us all. You loved each and everyone one of us and you let us know each and every second of the day. I hope you knew how loved and cherished you were at the VECC. I love you and miss you my sweet angel.

My sweet friend Kathie was everybody’s best friend- the kind of friend that always had your back. She loved helping all of her teachers at school and loved the kids at the VECC. Her kindness, sense of humor and the caring way she took care of us all will be terribly missed. Her nightly texts and smiling face in the morning are irreplaceable. Love you, Kath! XOXO
