I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jodi. I taught with Jodi at WTHS for a number of years before her retirement. She was a funny, kind, inspirational woman and was always there to lend an ear to me. Jodi will always be remembered as a passionate teacher and advocate for her students and family. My thoughts and prayers are with Frank, Laura Ann, and their entire family. I hope the wonderful memories of Jodi provide you all with some comfort during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Ponte! We all loved her and her awesome psych class. One of the best classes I took at WTHS! She always made it interesting, fun and always had a kind word. Prayers to all her family and friends and former students like myself who were so positively impacted by this lovely woman.

She was the best teacher I ever had. I had her for psychology my junior year of high school. Mrs. Pontelandolfo was the reason I went into the psychology field and am now a school counselor. I will never forget the things she taught me and what it meant to be a good person and educator. She will be missed.

Jodi was part of “The Bus Stop Girls”—35 years ago we met at our children’s school bus stop and formed our supportive group—The Bus Stop Girls—we went through many of life’s turmoils ---marriage—divorce---death, and we were always there for each other. Jodi, I always thought of her as “The First Lady” of the group—her kindness, insite, intelligence, joy and entertaining skills we remarkable—she always made you feel like you were cared about and supported. I will miss her very much—but I will always keep a seat at Lunch for her---because she will always be with us---her Bus Stop Girl---Holly

Frank and LauraAnn, I am so very sorry for your loss. Jodi was one of the first teachers I met when I started at WTHS 13 years ago. What a wonderful person and she was so dedicated. She continued to help with Military Hall of Honor after retirement. Jodi had such a beautiful soul. Your family is in my prayers.

I cannot put into words how heartbroken we all are about Jodi's passing. Jodi was a patriarch and a second mother to many of us who knew her, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. She had a kind word for all and lit up the room when she was there. We also know how hard this is for Frank and Laura Ann since they were an incredibly close family. Our love and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Jodies passing. She was a wonderful teacher of mine at Cathedral Academy in Camden many years ago. She was a bright light and a leader of the future women that she taught. She will be remembered always. Your family are in my prayers and thoughts.
Chuck Resnick left a message on March 11, 2025:
To Laura Ann and Frank: I first met Jodi on the day Laura Ann was sworn in as an attorney in NJ in Woodbury by my good friend, Hon. Anne McDonnell, right in the judge's courtroom. Jodi was beaming, as she rightly should have been. I also saw Jodi again at Laura Ann and David's wedding. She was beaming, as she rightly should have been. All my memories of Jodi are her beaming with happiness about her daughter, one of my dearest friends. That is how I will always remember her. Beaming. Somehow, I think everyone reading this post who knew her better than me will have the exact same memory, just more instances of it. She was an incredibly lovely and gracious woman. She (with Frank) raised a truly magnificent daughter. May God rest her soul.

Jodi and I knew each other for 35 years our children grew up together. She was more than a neighbor and friend, to me she was like a sister. I will miss her very much.
