Joseph R. Cristella, Jr., on May 13, 2015, of Washington Twp., formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 83. Beloved husband of 52 years of the late Elma (nee Cozzi). Devoted father of Adeline Giorla (Albert), Joseph, III (Debbie), and Anthony (Melissa). Loving grandfather of 8. Proud great-grandfather of 4. Dear brother of Gloria Hearn and the late Anthony Cristella and Jennie Douglass.
Joe, or Joe Brice as he was often known, was a proud member of the South Philadelphia High School football team where he made several lifelong friends and some of the happiest memories of his life.
A steadfast provider, Joe worked most notably for Kelly for Brickwork and later Cento Fine Foods until his retirement. Following his retirement, Joe most enjoyed reminiscing with his high school friends, watching his grandkids play sports, and spending time with his family. He is deeply missed by all who loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 AM. Interment private.
Arrangements are under the care of the Egizi Funeral Home, Washington Twp. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com.
