We are so sad of the passing of Joe. He was a special person and happy he and my mother Dolores had each other in their lives. We always enjoyed having him at our home for dinner and to watch the Eagles or Phillies- he liked the simple things, and being with family was most important to him. Glad he was a part of our family for a short time- he will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I am very grateful for the love and companionship he shared with my mother - he was a wonderful, caring partner. I will miss Joe's visits to my sister's and watching Philadelphia sports with him - it was great to have someone who shared my anger with the Eagles.

My grandfather definitely had quite the humor and personality. He always could make ya laugh. Whether it was family events or just coming over for dinner(he would always bring Dunkin’ Donuts), he would always kind of banter, is that a term, either way I guess Italian talk with anyone in the family; it would have everyone cracking up! He was quite the comic relief I would say in any situation. I recall times where he would pick me and Michelle up from bus stop and take us to an early dinner either at Carollos or Friendlys. He loved Ice Cream especially soft serve, which I now know where my Dad gets it from. He loved Music, especially Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, a lot of jazz. He even dove into some West Side Story for a bit. He hated the cold. He loved being outside, but when a breeze hits you can forget it. He loved watching any Philadelphia sport, the Eagles were his favorite though. Sometimes he would tell stories of how he would go to an Eagles game during the day and Flyers game at night. He would also mentioned how he went Germany when he was in the air force. There are so many memories I can think of. He was just always around, he was so easy to talk to. He had a Heart of Gold, always empathetic but like I said still managed to be the comic relief. He was a one of kind, and where ever he is which I’m sure is with Grandmom Louise, His late girlfriend Dolores, Uncle Tony, Aunt Mary, his friends and parents. I’m sure they’ll be happy to have him back.
