My deepest sympathy to you and your family. May all look forward to the promise when God will "swallow up death forever and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8)
Joe McAtee left a message on February 2, 2014:
Joe worked with all of us at Urban Engineers for over forty years, with most of his services focused on our aviation work. During those years he materially contributed in a most positive way, to hundreds of engineering projects that ultimately helped the traveling burdens of millions of air travelers using Philadelphia International Airport. His legacy is one of consistent quality and professionalism that I witnessed at Urban. He was always one with a kind word or advice to overcome a tough situation. Not someone who worried about himself at all, it was always about your problem or challenge and how he could help you. A true gentleman and really classy, quality individual who will be missed by all who knew him. Those of us who knew him are far better off for the experience. Rest well my friend until we meet again. Kind, sympathetic and warm regards to Joyce and the whole family, Joe McAtee, Urban Engineers

For everyone Joey has touched: Heavenly Whispers Today I heard a whisper as I sat her alone, A soft subtle voice with a saintly tone. I lifted my head from the book that I held And listened a moment to see if I could tell If the words I were hearing were from on high, That place that is so familiar, where comfort lies. And yes, the gentle voice was of one I knew It was Joey my cousin, whose suffering was through. He was at heaven's gate saying, "It is me, my God". And our dear Lord, he looked up and with a nod Said, "I love you Joseph, you are welcome here and for those who will grieve you, do not fear, For you left them a lifetime of goodness, much more, A heart full of love that was unselfish and will endure. A love everlasting until you meet with them again When whispers are heard at their earthly life's end. My love and prayers to you all, Cousin Linda (Abendroth)

The one statement that all of us can make about Joe is that he was the definition of a Gentleman!!!!! He carried himself at all times with Class, Dignity and Love for everyone he came in contact with. He is the type of son that any woman would dream of having, the type of man any woman would want for a husband and a father that all would dream of having. With that said, I was so blessed to have him as a "big brother" during the time when we lived with him, always a wonderful cousin and to be able to spend the last few weeks with him, as a friend sharing many stories and funny memories, for that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven with all of our Loved ones and our Precious Lord!!! Sophia Lauren Ciocca

My cousin Joey was one of the most kind gentle people I've ever met. He was on my list of the most special men who blessed my life. Living in the house with Aunt Sue, Uncle Joe and Joey were nothing but happy days in what should have been a very sad time in 2 little girls lives. I thank God for Joey and this Loving Family. It is amazing the adoration that people felt for him and he truly deserved it, He was the best!!!! I will really miss his Love and Hugs. Sharon Ciocca Manning

My precious nephew, what more is there to say? Your witness was lived for the Lord in all you ever said and did. Throughout our life and time together, we called ourselves the three “J’s” (Janice, Joyce and Joey), You were the youngest of the three “J’s” but the best. As small children growing up we all found the Lord Jesus and accepted him as our Personal Savior. Our love never ceased for the Lord and together we served Him faithfully. Lord hold him close to you; Joseph never put you second in any situation. You were first in all things to him. We were so blessed because of you, my love for you will never change. Love you with all my heart…Aunt Joyce.

David Benner left a message on February 2, 2014:
I am privileged to have know and worked with Joe for nearly 20 years. He was a true brother in the Lord, and I will miss him, at least for now. Joe had the confidence to believe the Bible from cover to cover and now the verse in 1 John 5:11 takes on special meaning. "These things have been written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life . . ." From our sharing through our years together, I am assured that Joe knew! If ever they write a newer version of Chapter 11 in Hebrews, I would fully expect the name of Joe DeLaurentiis to be listed in that modern cloud of witnesses. Dave Benner
