Joseph Dugandzic
On May 30, 2024, of Washington Twp. Age 70. Beloved husband of Paulette (nee Maksimowicz). Devoted father of Heather Dugandzic-Bradley (Joe), Aaron Dugandzic (Vanessa), Adrienne Dugandzic- Cusato (Doug), Andrew Dugandzic (Shauna), and Meredith Daniel (Alex). Loving grandfather of Teigan, Eva, Keira, Hailey, Hannah, Dean, Stella, Lillian, Georgina, Kyla, Nora, Bruce, Pennelope, and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Steven Dugandzic (Gerry), Paul Dugandzic, Phil Dugandzic (Jody), Anne Dugandzic, Irene DeMatties (Ed), and Marijana Higgins (Rob).
Joe was a civil engineer who graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Villanova University with a Master of Science in Water Resource Engineering.
He was a member of the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and belonged to numerous organizations including the American Water Works Association and was a lifetime member of the The American Society of Civil Engineers.
Joe started his career with the Environmental Protection Agency, then moved onto American Water Works, and retired from New Jersey-American Water Company.
Joe was a devout catholic, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. His passions were his children and grandchildren, golfing, growing amaryllis, collecting CAWS, his love of the Eagles and Phillies, annual vacations at Bethany Beach where he would text the entire family every morning that “Camp was open”, and competitive family horseshoe matches. Joe D had a loud, boisterous personality and he always had one of his famous Joe D-isms for every situation.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday, June 7, 9:30 – 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am.
In honor of Joseph, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, we would encourage donations be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
