On May 22, 2020, of Washington Township. Age 78. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Kurth). Devoted father of Amanda (Brian) and Taylor (Sean). Dear brother of Joyce Jones and the late Carol Moyer, Severino Giardinelli and Thomas Giardinelli.
Joseph Charles Giardinelli, Jr., also known as “Joe G.”, of Sewell, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, surrounded by his wife and two daughters at the age of 78.
Joe was born on February 8, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, to Joseph and Mary Giardinelli. He was the eldest of five children. He would often share fond memories of growing up in South West Philly. In 1961, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea during the Vietnam Era. He was awarded a medal for his expertise in sharpshooting. Joe retired as a Real Estate Broker in 2006. He loved sharing stories and telling jokes; his favorite quote was “I’m a bottomless pit of worthless information.”
Joe resided in Washington Township, NJ, with his wife, Kathleen, and two daughters, Amanda and Taylor, and his beloved dog, Buttons.
Joe will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, especially his wife, Kathleen, daughters, Amanda and Taylor, his in-laws, Bill and Barb, and his best friends Bennie and Donna Fanelle (of over 62 years) and Pete Russo.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service Saturday, November 7th, 11:00 am at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown.
