On January 13, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 57. Beloved father of Joseph A. Becht, III, Christopher L. Becht, Nicholas G. Becht and Juliana E. Becht. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Michelle.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the children for funeral expenses.

My memories of Joe will always be of food and laughter. He could talk about his kids forever and how he loved cooking and invited them to share his joy and laughter. My funniest memories, however, will be about Joe and his love of Philadelphia sports. I grew up on Long Island and teased him that Doctor J was only on loan to him. Of course, Joe being Joe, he would send me a flurry of the Doc's dunks culminating with his favorite of the Doc dunking on Bill Walton. My favorite? Before saying goodbye on most calls, he would say, "Nystrom was offsides," referring to the 1980 OT goal he scored for the Islanders, beating his beloved Flyers for their first Stanley Cup." The world was a better place for your time in it, my friend. Rest in Peace!

I have such wonderful memories of Joe! His sisters are fantastic and his mom was so darn funny!! One Halloween I dressed like Sandy from Grease! Even til recent he’d refer to me as sandy! Sending prayers to his family. Joe was a good guy! He’ll be missed!
