Johnnie L. Tharp, on January 19, 2017, of Washington Twp. Age 60. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Force). Devoted father of Lori Ann Tharp and Adam Tharp and his faithful companion Buddy. Son of the late Bella & George Tharp, Sr. Brother of Cindy Newlin, Sheri Heister (Eddie) and the late George, Jr. Dear son-in-law of Donna Kammer (the late Kenneth Sr.). Brother-in-law of Donna Walker (Wes), Ken Kammer, Jr., Rita Lyons (Steve) and the late Richard Force. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including his godsons David & Elijah and aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

At his Celebration of Life, the family wishes everyone to feel free to wear their favorite NFL attire, as they will be dressed in John’s beloved Philadelphia Eagles gear.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com.

Your sudden leaving has devastated us beyond words, we are struggling to cope. A memory comes to mind and we smile, and then the smile turns to tears. We each try to hold it together for each other but find that none of us is strong enough to carry the burden. When we dream of you there is a temporary happiness, until we tell each other about it.
