John Taylor Gares, Sr., on August 5, 2013 or Washington Twp. Age 77. Beloved husband of the late Cecelia “Chickie”. Devoted father of John Gares (Dawn), Christopher Gares (Anne-marie) and Cindy Gares (Brian). Loving grandfather of Amanda, Mercedes, John, Karley and Nichole. Proud great-grandfather of Carson.

you were the best grandfather any girl like me could ask for you always put a smile on my face even when I wasn't in a good mood .. when I came to visit you your face would lite up so big and you would always smile and tell me you loved me and kissed me .. when i was little you would always hold me and rub my back until i fell alseep even though i should of been in bed already I wish I could have all this one last time ill always be thinkin of you rest easy pop pop your with mom mom now watch over me and the family please <3 I miss you soo much and I love you always and forever

I enjoyed your Pop-Pop. He was a good guy. He always made me laugh. I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed. I can still see his great big smile

My favorite Uncle Jack .. I love you forever with my heart and Soul ...From my family to your heart ,,we love you ,,we miss you , and now we know you will be beside Johnny showing him his new amazing world in Heaven beside you and aunt Chicky Aunt Biggy who was Johns favorite ,,..And your sister betty / my mom and my dad ,,and all the other family members that John has been missing in his heart for so long .. Many great memories growing up with the Gates Family ...the funniest memory of Mr Gares is when he dropped us all off for tubing and forgot to pick us up .... We floated for hours ... LOL.... My prayers to the Family he will be missed...XOXOXOXO

John and Chickie Gares were the life and soul of Bells Lake. Great memories and will be sorely missed. Condolences to the Gares Family.

Nikki I'm so sorry please tell dad I'm soory for his loss and thinking about him if u need me call me

Even tho I didn't know him very well he would still ask you (nikki) for me at the nursing home. And every time I went up to see him he always remembered me and knew how to put a smile on my face. He was a very good guy. I just wish I had known him longer. RIP

I'm so sorry for your loss. What gives me much comfort and hope is what Jesus said at John 11:25 "those exercising faith in him even though he dies, will come to life," because he has the power to resurrect our dead loved ones.
