Richard "Rich" Arvonio left a message on November 6, 2022:
I was shocked to just hear that John had passed away earlier this year. I was in the Navy and a CT and worked with John when we were stationed at Sabana Seca, PR from 1970-1971. While he was our supervisor he was also a friend. I got to know his family, first wife Lydia and the young children at the time. We worked together but also got together for cookouts at their home. I spoke with John a couple of years ago or so and had hoped to see him again. He was a true leader and friend. My deepest sympathies and condolences. Rick Arvonio
