John G. Hartley, III
On December 11, 2021 of Williamstown, formerly of Washington Twp. Age 85. Beloved husband of the late Roseann M. (nee Stanley). Devoted father of John (Dina), David (Linda), Robert (Gina), Gregory (Paula), and Jeffrey (Sandie). Loving grandfather of Angela (Nate), John, Nicole, Donnie, Paul (Ariana), Dylan, Gianna (Steven), Robert, Jessica, Joseph, Amore, Colton, Sophia, Christopher, and Elijah. Proud great-grandfather of Gabrielle, Nate Jr., Tony, Evangelia, Steven and Sirena. Beloved partner of Rosemary Sulzbach. Dear brother of Warren and Susan Klein.
“Pop” was born May 3,1936 to John and Gertrude Hartley. He proudly served his country as a Second-Class Petty Officer with the United States Coast Guard. He was also an instructor for the Naval Reserve. Pop treasured being part of the Honor Guard at funerals for his fellow veterans. He was a member of the Korean War Vets and the American Legion Post 521, holding a six-year position of Commander and 15-year position of tressure. Pop also enjoyed competing in truck rodeos for many years, earning Pennsylvania Trucking Rodeo Champion 1988-1989. He worked many years at Roadway even elected #1 Trucker. Pop loved his country and his family. He enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City, eating out and boating. Above all, Pop was dearly loved by his family, friends, and fur-baby, Missy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
