John A. Petrino

John left this world to be with his Lord on August 9, 2018. Of Washington Twp. Age 88. Beloved husband of Marie E. (nee Bonner). Devoted father of Carol Nahill (James Jr.), Paul (Gabrielle), Steven (the late Leighann), Maria Petrino and the late John III. Loving grandfather of James III, Chrisha, Jaclyn, John IV, Thomas, Marissa and the late Charles. Proud great-grandfather of Abigail, Jacob, Ethan and Kyra. Dear brother of Francis Petrino and the late Lucy Harris, Ralph Petrino and Mary Pacifico. Dear father in-law of Marcella Petrino and the late Cherié Petrino. John was also survived by his granddogs Milo and Cosmo and many loving nieces and nephews.

A man of many accomplishments, he always believed that his greatest accomplishments were his enduring 69 year marriage to the love of his life, Marie and the five children they raised together. He was a doting grandfather to seven and an adoring great-grandfather of four.

He was a hardworking member of the Ironworkers Union for 68 years, served as president of the Washington Township Senior Center for 25 years, was a faithful member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, and a lover of blueberry pancakes.

The earth loses a great, loving man to the heavens, but he will live on forever in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 362 Ganttown Rd, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM. Entombment private.
