Joan N. Goldschmidt (nee Wicker), on November 19, 2013, of Washington Twp. Born March 17, 1931, age 82. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Devoted mother of Richard A. (Louise), Rosalyn A. Gill (Dave), Sharon L. Odenath (Patrick), Aaron J. (Brian) and the late Deborah Goldschmidt. Loving grandmother of Michael (Sara), Susan (Sean), James, Adam (Natasha), John Jr. (Ashley), David, Tom, Katie, Tyler, Brandon and Trevor. Proud great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister-in-law of Rose Fischer and Lawrence Goldschmidt. Loving cousin of Richard and Martin Worst.
Joan enjoyed going to the beach and the casinos. She loved to travel. She enjoyed the Mummers and celebrating the holidays with family. Joan worked for Washington Twp. Municipal Court for 40 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday 8:15 – 9:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Interment Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to St. Charles Borromeo RC Church at the above address. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

Joan, known as Debbie's Mom to me was a wonderful friend. We sent cards and notes to each other of support and little things that were happening in our lives. I cherish our friendship. She always made me laugh. I love her and will miss her presence in my life.

Joan was funny and always made me laugh, she was really great to work with and I bumped into Joan in a few different courts around the county. I was always disappointed when she missed a meeting for the Gloucester Co. Court Administrators. I was so looking forward to sitting at the "retirees table" with her.
She could be tough and she could be a "softie", she had a heart of gold. Joan was a plethora of contradictions, and for that we all loved her and she will be sorely missed. To her family I send my deepest sympathies and my heartfelt prayers. She was a treasure that you only meet once in a lifetime. Rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.

Sincere condolences to the entire family from the Amundsen family.My family and I have lived in the same neighborhood,Whitman Square, for 37 years and Mrs.Goldschmidt and family were one of our first friends. She was a lovely lady with a peppy walk and a lively personality to go with it. Always upbeat,complimentary and concerned for everyone.How many times did she help us and give us advice when we needed it. Countless!, Her raspy voice,her smile and her sweet personality just wanted you to hug her. She will be dearly missed but wonderful memories will remain forever. Hard to believe it has been over 40 years or more since we have been neighbors and friends. Seems like only yesterday. Joan was a special woman and I will so miss our sharing and talking about the days events. Our street will never be the same.
