On December 11, 2021 of Blackwood. Age 73. Beloved wife of the late Richard. Cherished aunt of Christine Chodkowski (Gregg) and Danielle Nazario (Shawn). Dear sister of the late Barbara J. Rizzo and the late Carmen Melfi, III.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.

I will always remember your love of dancing and how you would slow down to show me the steps. You knew them all. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Joan was a loyal friend and lovely person. Joan was a tireless community leader who will always be remembered for her dedication and friendship.

I'm so sorry for your lost. Joan and I were friends for 58 years, When I came back east to visit my family Joan was the first to be contact and she would pick me up and head to the shore. A lot of laughs. We were like sisters and forever in my heart. Memories forever.

My deepest condolences to Joan's family and close friends. Joan & I worked together at Saint-Gobain for several years and enjoyed our time together. We traveled together a few times (for fun) and those times were always that! - fun! We both were willing to challenge policies we thought we not well thought out and in the best interest of employees. I will always remember her good nature and willingness to speak out. Thinking of Joan will always bring a smile to my face.
