To Joan's Family, My sincere condolences. Joan was a wonderful neighbor of mine for many years. I was sorry when she moved from the neighborhood here in Shenandoah Village. Ginny Dershimer
Jerry Becker left a message on February 5, 2025:
Not only was Joan my Great Aunt, but she was a GREAT Aunt! Her smile and laughter could light up the room. I will miss sharing a cocktail with her as she told stories, even if I had heard them before, she had me clinging to every word with her storytelling abilities. She will be sorely missed, but her memory, never forgotten. How lucky am I to have known someone that makes saying "goodbye," so hard. All the Love - (Little) Jerry
Paul Smiley left a message on February 3, 2025:
I'm sad to lose such a funny, vibrant person. I have such great memories of Aunt Joan, sharing great conversations around her kitchen table, (yes we were probably talking about you) belly laughing with her and Uncle Joe and son Joe, along with the rest of the crew. You are missed and loved. I miss your endless and funny chatter whenever I was lucky enough to drive you and Nanny anywhere in the 90s from Southwest Philly. Love you, Paul.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Joan was a great lady. I will miss talking to her or stopping over to visit with her. My grandchildren remember her fondly. She would tell stories about her and my mom when they were small but she didn't let me off easy either, She told them things I did also. Aunt Joan you will always be loved for who you were.
