Suddenly, on February 14, 2010. Age 40. An active member of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department. Beloved husband of Krista nee Steigerwalt. Devoted father of Dominic and Cassandra, son of Frances Hill Kevin and Anthony Cottone Loretta. Dear brother of Frank Cottone Crystal. He will also be dearly missed by his grandfother, Francis “Pop” Smilari, his niece, Amber, and his life-long friends, Jeff and Rachel Sproul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 1:00 PM a the funeral home. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jeff’s memory be made to the Fraternal Order of Police #97, P.O. Box 433, Woodbury, NJ 08096, or to the Police Beneficial Association, 7 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071.

I just saw this today, I just wanted to say, I still miss you dad, even though I was very little and didn't know you.

Krista and Cassie, we are deeply saddened by your loss. Our prayers are with you. Arman and Family.

Krista, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of seeing Jeff each morning when I would arrived at work at the Criminal Justice Complex in Woodbury, NJ. Although I did not know his wife and children, we shared many conversations about his wife and children. Clearly, Jeff was a good husband and father. I will miss his smiling face each moorning. My sincerest condolences to his wife, family and friends. Godspeed Jeff.

To the entire family, I had the pleasure of seeing Jeff and Frankie growing and hanging with my son, Fernand Principato. Although after the kids moved on after walking to Overbrook together for school, I saw Jeff proudly and cheerfully serving as a Sheriff's Officer at the Gloucester County Court Houses. I am sorry for the loss of the family and the many parts of his life that we will be deprived of sharing, but happy for the many laughs, dinners, and good times we shared in Newton & Lindenwold growing up into in a fine young man and father. I especially wish his grandfather, Frank, my deepest condolences on behalf of the entire family. Anthony and Fran I witnessed over the years the wonderful job you both did as parents and you are justified in the pride you feel for his accomplishments and great character!

I worked with Jeff for many years at Kennedy Hospital. Even though I didn't know his family I send my thoughts and prayers for peace in your hearts at this very difficult time for you. I will forever hold in my heart Jeff's wonderful smile and bright eyes, he could always light up a room.
