Jean Arena

April 21, 1931 - March 12, 2020

Jeanette Arena (nee Passio), on March 12, 2020, at the age of 88, Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Jean can be remembered for being a devoted wife to the late Frank Arena for over 66 years. She was a loving and caring mother to Frankie, Stevie (deceased), Ronnie and Trudy. Jean cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, her many nieces and nephews and all the people she befriended throughout her lifetime. Anyone who came in contact with her was drawn to her personal warmth and kindness. Jean had a special knack for making everyone she met feel special. Her laughter, humor and radiance were infectious.

Jean had many exceptional talents but her specialty was her excellent culinary skills. Her delicious meatballs and gravy couldn’t be duplicated. She used this particular talent throughout her lifetime as the proprietor of many successful delis and restaurants.

It was such a blessing to know Jean and to simply be in her presence. To know her was to love her.

The family will hold a special memorial service to honor Jean at a later date.

Good morning to the family and friends of Ms. Jean Arena, I wanted to take a moment to extend to you my deepest sympathy at the passing of your dear loved one. Having experienced the loss of a loved one I am familiar with the pain it brings. I found that by means of God's word I found strength and comfort. I hope the same will come to you when you read the words noted. Rev 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
