Jaroslaw “Jerry” Hafycz
On December 26, 2025, Jaroslaw “Jerry” Hafycz of Washington Township, age 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Jerry was the beloved husband of Sandra (née Cosmi). He was a devoted father to Alexander Hafycz and the late Christine Hafycz-Stojanov, and father-in-law to the late William Stojanov. He was a loving grandfather to John, Haydon, and Hannah Stojanov, and a cherished great-grandfather to Aubrey, Emilia, and Nolan Stojanov. He was the dear brother of Irene Rittenhouse and the late John Hafycz.
Jerry was born on December 2, 1946, and immigrated to the United States with his family as a child. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, where he was known for his stories, including having a pet monkey during his service. After returning home, he married the love of his life, Sandra, in 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Chrissy and Alex, whose families grew to include three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jerry was deeply involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives, especially their sports and hobbies, never missing a game or practice. He loved golf, coaching soccer, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He also served as a commissioner for New Jersey youth soccer. Most of all, Jerry was a wonderful role model, and his family will miss him dearly.
Jerry’s life will be honored and remembered privately by his family.
