Janice DiCarlo, (née Branda) was born on June 16, 1957, in Philadelphia, PA and passed away abruptly on December 29, 2022.
A daughter to the late Bertha and John Branda. Beloved sister to Joanne (late Jerry), John (Debbie), Michael (Donna), Denise, Dominic, Renee (Mark), and Janine (Jon). Wonderful Mother of Richard Leonetti Jr. (Gabrielle) and grandmother to Luke Leonetti. Graduate of Highland High School in Blackwood, Class of 1976.
Janice worked various jobs throughout her life, including being a Magicians Assistant, working in notorious clubs in Florida with the likes of Tina Turner and Redd Foxx, a beloved School Cafeteria Lady, and most notably, Red Lobster in Deptford for over 20 years where she made lifelong friendships.
Janice was always the life of the party. Quick to laugh and always prepared with jokes, she was a natural entertainer. Janice wanted nothing more than to make people smile.
She was a world traveler to exotic locations like Rome and Guam and domestic destinations like Florida, Vegas and Baltimore- where she loved getting together with her sisters for Crabfest. She was a woman of simple pleasures. A summer day, a cold beer, a bushel of crabs, good tunes and good company was all she ever really needed.
She was a loving mother to Richard and a devoted wife to Anthony for many years. She was a protector and nurturer always welcoming and inviting. She had a place to stay for anyone who needed it. She kept a clean house, she loved to cook, sing and dance. She adored her dog Pika and was a lover of all animals and nature in general.
Above all, she got the most joy spending time with her grandson, Luke. She loved nothing more than spoiling her little boy. Playing and watching him have the time of his life. She was the Best Nana Ever. This role had come to define Janice in her amazing life stories final chapter. She will forever be loved and missed.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family Sunday, January 8th, 4:00 – 5:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 5:30 pm.
