James V. Flynn, Sr.

On August 8, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 75. Beloved husband of the late Joanne M. nee Iannone. Devoted father of Mary Elizabeth Elaine, James V., Jr., and Michael Patrick Flynn Christine and Patricia Anne Lombardo. Dear grandfather of A.J., Jimmy, Gianna and Matthew. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

James was a graduate of St. Thomas More H.S. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Joseph Leary Council and past Grand Knight of the DeSoto Council.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday eve 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Thursday 8:30 – 9:30 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn., 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

John and I want to express our sadness for your loss. His smile reflected his love of his children and everyone around him. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead. God bless you; you are all in our prayers.

The passing of Uncle Jim is the end of an era. But he was more than just one of the Flynn siblings, and more than just the youngest one. He was unique, especially in the way he lit up a room. In no time at all, even if you hadn't seen him in a long time, you felt that he had always been there. Saddest of all is that he reminded me much of my mother. Every one seems to define heaven in the same way...a place in which, if we get there, we meet those we love who have passed before us...if they got there. I see Uncle Jimmy now with Aunt Johnnie on their way to visit Mom, and Mike and Dad, in a place that looks remarkably like the Williamstown Legion. May his memory be for a blessing. "Flynnie" was a great person and a great friend. He will be greatly missed but I'm glad he's back with his loving wife whom he missed immensely. Till we meet again, Jim. Love, Annie Standish

Jim and I Marion go back a long time. Memories of him coming to Williamstown when we were kids to visit my Mom his Aunt Helen and Aunt Maeduring summer vacations still fill my heart. The Flynns were such an important part of the Kramer Family. My condolences to his family - May all your wonderful memories give you comfort. Memory Banks are wonderful and you have the best from your Dad.

What great uncle he was, I will remember all the great times from our youth! Prayers from me and the girls

To the Flynn Family: I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a really nice, good,guy. I have known him for about 70 years;from Grade School through High School.We shared many great memories of St. Agatha's and S.T.M high School.We would always try to sit together at Communion Breakfasts, and Class Reunions and recall the good times we had over the years. My condolences to the family. I had spent a lot of time with Jim. He really loved the Phillies. I'll never forget him and our conversations. When he talked about his wife's cooking I was starving for Italian food. He was proud of his children and grandchildren.

Uncle Jimmy was a great guy, he always made every laugh. He will now be joining my dad his oldest brother, Frank in heaven and having a lot of laughs together. He will be missed by everyone. Prayers and thoughts are with each and every family member. Colleen and Blaine his niece and grand nephew
