We are so saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Jim was always such a friendly and caring neighbor. We have fond memories of either seeing or hearing Jim working in his garage on some project but then always being willing to help others on their projects. Our prayers and sincerest condolences to the entire Fileccia family.

Drew Colligan left a message on January 24, 2022:
When you grow up playing youth sports then have children that do the same you often reminisce about your own experiences watching your children living theirs. Mr. Fileccia (Coach Fileccia) is a cornerstone of mine and many young men and women. His distinct voice from behind the backstop, on the sideline, or from the dugout was as unmistakeable as his smile and laugh that often reassured you after a tough game. That same voice would also kick you square in the butt if you needed it (or any official/referee may have gotten a suggestion or two on a better option on certain calls) He cared, and we knew it. Heartfelt condolences from the Colligan family, and THANK YOU for your service Mr. Fileccia to our country, our community, and our childhood. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.

We are so sorry for your loss. Jim was one of the good guys who held traditional values. Tony was not handy when it came to working with wood. I was saying to Pat I wanted to put trim around Betsy's bedroom ceiling because I didn't do such a good job of painting. Jim was in the kitchen and heard me and said go buy the trim I'll hang it for you. He came over and installed it in about 20 minutes. We were so appreciative of his thoughtfulness.
