James “Jimmy” Donato, passed on June 8, 2023. Age 73. Beloved husband of Christine Donato (nee Contino). Loving father of Tinamarie Stanfa (Joseph) and Jaime Holmes (Nicholas). James “Jimmy” Donato, passed on June 8, 2023. Age 73. Beloved husband of Christine Donato (nee Contino). Loving father of Tinamarie Stanfa (Joseph) and Jaime Holmes (Nicholas). Devoted grandfather of James Donato (Nicolette), Nicholas, Victoria, Olivia and Juliana Holmes and Giovanni, Celestino and Angelina Stanfa and great-grandfather of Vincent Donato. Dear brother of Anthony Donato and John Donato. He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, family, and friends.
Jim was proudly raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a resident of Washington Twp., for over 40 years and recently, resided in Deptford, NJ. James was a jack of all trades, owned and operated Barlow’s Hardware, and was prideful in fixing anything. He was an entertainer; the voice of his family, a true showman! Jimmy loved leading his family in song every possible chance he got. He also enjoyed spending time down the shore, going to the casino, and vacationing aboard cruises in the company of his loving wife, Christine.
James was known for having a good heart, and being someone that you would share endless laughs and smiles with. In addition, Jim was a dedicated Catholic belonging to The Church of The Holy Family.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday 9:15 – 10:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:00 am at The Church of The Holy Family, Washington Twp. Entombment Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill.
