Conover, II Loving grandfather of Tiffany, Joshua, Jayson, Jonathan, Erin, and Allyson. Proud great-grandfather of Logan. Dear brother of Kenneth Conover (Georgina).
Jack was born and raised in Blackwood, New Jersey. After graduating high school he enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. After the Army Jack was a New Jersey State Police Trooper for 32 years where he retired as a Lieutenant. Shortly after joining the State Police he met the love of his life Cindy of almost 51 years. After retiring from the State Police he worked for Deptford Honda Yamaha and then Caliber Collision until March 2020. After that time he and Cindy opened Shore Delights Ice Cream in North Wildwood.
Jack enjoyed spending time with his family in every aspect of life, especially Sunday dinners. He was an avid hunter and a lifelong member of the Buck Run Gun Club. He also enjoyed fishing and tinkering outside. His real passion in life was being a racing “Pop”. His love for micro sprint car racing started in 1992 at Airport Speedway in New Castle, Delaware with his son Jack and then with all his grandkids. Everyone truly loved the time spent with him. Jack was more than a father to just his kids but to everyone that met him, which is how he got the nickname “Pops”! He was one of a kind and will truly be missed! His family would like to send a special Thank You to the Physicians & Nurses of the Inspira Hospital of Mullica Hill.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 1:30-3:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 3:30 PM.
