Iris Carly Simpson

Iris “Carly” Simpson (nee Short), 60, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in her home on Thursday, October 2nd.
Born in Biloxi, MS, and a graduate of Middle Township High School in Cape May County, she lived in Washington Twp, Gloucester County, for the past 11 years.
Carly is predeceased by her mother, Joyce Goodman, and her father, Carl Short. She is survived by her step-father, Samuel Goodman; significant-other, Ken Lake; her brother, John (Ann) Arsenault; sister, Rebel (David) Hines; sister, Trilby (Sidney) Trahan; brother, Carl Short; sister, Leslie (Patrick) McGee; daughters, Laurie (Mike) Rittersbach and Jennifer (Brian) Schenski; granddaughter, Kylie Schenski; grandson, Brehnam Schenski, and beloved pets, nieces, and nephews.
An LPN, Carly was employed by Holy Redeemer Hospice Care in Runnemede, NJ. She enjoyed holiday decorating and making her house a warm and loving place. She especially enjoyed spending time with her girls, sitting on the beach with a good book, traveling, attending festivals, and spending every opportunity with her littlest best friend and fellow red-head, Brehnam.
