Hugh and I grew up together on 10th Avenue in the Pitman Grove back in the 50’s. We played together, went to school together, and in October 1959, joined the Marine Corps together. We even went through boot camp together at Paris Island, SC and graduated in January 1960. Hugh was a dear friend and I will miss him dearly. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife, Elsie, and the entire Sharp family. RIP Marine!

Mrs. Sharp, Brian, Danny and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I will always remember your husband/dad out working in his shop in the garage, mowing the lawn, gardening, or fixing something. And when he was bored he’d come to my parents’ house to fix things. When my dad passed, he checked in on my mom often. See if she needed anything. And he would just sit and talk with her. And that says a lot about the person he was. And whenever I went to my mom’s, he made sure to wave to me from his front porch. He always made me smile. He was such a great guy and was always willing to lend a hand. Thank you Mr. Sharp for being there for my mom. For all of us. You will be missed.

Aunt Elsie, I remember Uncle Hughie's happiness and laughter through the years and the kindness you both shared with us girls as we were growing up. Thank you for that and so much more. Our thoughts and prayers are for you and Brian, Dan, Holly, and their families. Love, Diana and Benjie Bush (Donnelly)
Elsie and Family Hugh will be sorely missed From the day we moved here in 1976 your family has been the most wonderful next door neighbors ever . Hugh would always ask how the family was doing and if we needed anything and I mean anything he was there From fixing things for us to cutting my entire lawn to shoveling snow from my entire property Even when his health was failing and it was difficult for him,he still did it Always witty and full of jokes As his health failed he apologized constantly for not being able to help me out Made me so sad but also so proud to have this man and his wonderful family as my next door neighbors for over 45 years Couldn’t have been anymore lucky May he Rest In Peace that he so deserves Hard working, kind , compassionate and just an all around good person You will be missed
Aunt Elsie, Dan, Brian Holly and Family. I am very sorry for your loss. As I sit here and remember Uncle Hugh I remember his big personality. He came in a room and just took over which was great when you have a father like mine. Him and my dad could go back and fourth all day and drive Every one crazy. I can remember times my mom would be frustrated by the two of them she wouldn't talk the whole way home from Jersey. It was all in fun though. That's just the way he was and that's the way he will be remembered. He was a big man, a good man and a good memory from my childhood. I love you Uncle Hugh. Thank you for your time here on earth making the world a better place.
Dear Dan, Kristen, and family,
Please accept our condolences on the loss of your dad. We are keeping everyone in our prayers.
Take care,
Mark, Kate, Constance, Sophia, and Juliet Fanslau
Hugs and prayers for all of you.
