Helen L. McGee nee Hopf, on June 15, 2012, of Blackwood. Age 96. Devoted mother of Elisabeth S. Turchi Joseph and the late Roberta L. Potts and Robert M., Jr. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Claire Loving grandmother of Thomas, Richard, Michael, Robert III, Bonnie and Pattie. Proud great-grandmother of 8. Great-great-grandmother of 2.
A retired Director of Nursing for the Camden County General Hospital at Lakeland. Born in Philadelphia in 1916; she graduated Haverford High School in 1934 and the Phila. College of Osteopathic School of Nursing in 1937. She ultimately became the Nursing Supervisor for Pediatrics at Osteopathic Hospital, worked as a private duty nurse for several prominent surgeons and then joined the nursing staff at Camden County in 1959. She served as Director of Nursing from 1968 to 1981. For 2 years prior to retiring in 1981, Helen held the position of Acting Administrator for the Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial service Saturday 12:00 pm at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township.
