Harry T.Racer, on August 25, 2021, of Washington Twp. Age 79. Beloved husband of Alicia (nee Granda-Isasi). Devoted father of Roy Racer, and Kim Robinson (Matthew). Loving grandfather of Lily, Noah, and Ivy. Dear brother of Marvin (Josephine).
Not everyone is able to do what they love, but Harry was one of the lucky ones. His lifelong desire was to have his own retail store. After retiring from the New York City Transit Authority in the mid 90’s, his dream came true when he opened Racer’s Army Navy in Williamstown, NJ. He enjoyed going to his store every day, chatting with his neighbors and customers, and finding new items to buy. This is what kept him going and gave him meaning.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 12:00 pm. Interment Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry’s memory to Operation Safe Haven, 1664 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322; Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum, 500-598 Essex Road, Rio Grande, NJ 08242; or Samaritan Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
