Guiseppe Papalia
On April 23, 2022 of Gloucester Twp. Age 89. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Rea). Devoted father of Brian Winters and Stacey Horan (Jason). Loving grandfather of Avery, Emily, Haley, and Molly. Cherished uncle of Salvatore (Karen) and Stephanie (Donald). Proud great-uncle of Michelle, Michael, Samantha, Francine, and Donna Jean.
Joey was a kind man who loved with all his heart and always had a smile on his face. He loved to travel on cruises, had an obsession with cars (and cleaning them), and in the last 9 years he has truly cherished his time with his granddaughters.
Joey liked his routine and followed it daily but also enjoyed creating new routine memories such as Saturday night sleepovers with the granddaughters and Tuesday night dinners with Avery and Molly.
There were many qualities that almost made it seem as if he never left the army. He always gave 1000%, was early to everything (“If you’re on time, you’re late “), and cleaned like he was about to get checked at the barracks, yes he would even use a toothbrush.
Joey enjoyed watching his true crime tv shows, games shows with Avery and his absolute favorite were his western movies. He also enjoyed his time at the coffee shops just chatting and telling stories with his friends.
Joey was a great husband, dad, and grandpa. He will be missed very much by anyone who has been lucky enough to have met him. We know you are watching over us all and will always be in our hearts and memories.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 7:30 PM.
