GREGORY FRANK LEWIS, was born on March 21, 1953 to Norma Renee and the late Frank James Lewis in Philadelphia, PA. “Greg” was the second of three children. Greg was educated in the Philadelphia Parochial School System and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School, where he played trumpet as a member of the world renowned school band. Subsequently, Greg attended both New York University and Temple University where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in History & Economics. He was employed at his alma mater, Temple University as well as the Cigna Corporation. However, his last and most satisfying job was at the Unisys Corporation (now Molina Health Care System), as a Software Engineer for nearly 20 years, where he had an outstanding record of achievement. Greg was briefly married to Kathleen Brown. He met and married Stephanie Ann Ellison in 1988. From this union they produced one daughter, Kayla Medi Lewis. He later married Christina Carmen Mason in September 1999, and they embraced 15 years of marriage. Gregory will be remembered for his biting wit and honest opinions. He was a consistent and highly respected contributor to various newspapers on topics of community and global proportion. Well versed in politics and international affairs, Greg was an advocate for the underdog. He loved tennis, and was highly skilled at the game. Always exploring a new adventure, he had a fondness for NASCAR Driving. In the quiet early morning of June 24th, 2014, Greg was relieved of his journey in this world. We are further assured that our beloved ancestors awaited with open arms, and welcomed him to the eternal circle. Gregory’s passionate spirit will be remembered by all he met, but mostly by his devoted wife Christina Carmen; loving mother Mrs. Norma Lewis; daughter Kayla Medi Lewis; sisters Sharman Faith Wilson and Dr. Antoinette Lewis; nieces Marcia Morgan Coleman and Jennine Marie Burgess; grandniece and grandnephews Maya Antoinette Coleman, Jonah Ian & Judah Ethan Burgess; as well as a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday 12 – 1 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 1 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in Gregory’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
