Greg R. Curcio, of Philadelphia. Age 60 years old. Left this world on February 21, 2020.
He was born on April 19, 1959 in Philadelphia. Greg was the beloved youngest son of the late James E. and Mary B.(nee Williamson) Curcio. He is survived by his brothers, Byron, Kenneth and his sister Gail Curcio. Loving nieces and nephews, Ken, Theresa, Joseph and Marianna. As well as his sister-in-law, Inge Curcio and cousins Anne, Marc and Jim.
Greg was as a lover of animals. His love of his dogs, Jake and Woodstock, were dear to him.
Greg began his career as a Pharmacist at Graduate Hospital. He continued working in various hospitals in Philadelphia, with a large part of his career being at Pennsylvania Hospital (Penn Medicine) from where he retired.
He was a graduate of Washington Twp. High School and graduated with a pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences. Greg was instrumental in the installation of a unique computer software system which implements how medicines are handled and recorded in hospitals.
Greg leaves a legacy of caring and helping others behind the scenes. Before health problems set in, Greg had a zest for life in traveling, theater and was known to be a great dancer, a fantastic friend and brother.
In lieu of flowers, Greg would have wanted you to use your generous donations for any animal welfare and protection program of your choice.
Greg’s life will be honored and remembered privately by his family.
