Gimmi J. Sferra

On November 5, 2024, of Washington Twp. Beloved son of the late Gennaro and Giuseppina (nee Brunetti). Dear brother of Stefano Sferra (Denise) and Pasquale Sferra (Karen). Loving uncle of Carissa Sferra, Giavanna Sferra, Stefano Sferra, and Christopher Sferra. Loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gimmi loved and lived for his nephews Stefano, and Christopher. He adored his nieces Carissa and Giavanna.

He was known for his love of his Italian heritage, his favorite band The Rolling Stones, a good haircut and shave from Joe Foglig in South Philly, a good cigar, and a top-of-the-line scotch. He always dressed to impress.

Gimmi loved all sports especially hockey. He also enjoyed reading, watching classic movies, and he was a huge foodie.

He loved visiting his family in Ohio, he had many friends a lot of who he kept in touch with through Facebook. He was known for his funny posts, and back and forth “bickering”.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Saturday, November 16^th 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics Philadelphia, 2900 Southampton Rd, Philadelphia, Pa. 19154

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Gimmi. He was so adored by all of his WF team. He will never be forgotten.

There are no words to convey how we feel. We pray you know that we loved you, and how much you will be missed.

Gimmi was truly one of a kind. We worked together at Wells Fargo supporting the New York office. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and his work family loved him. He was truly a gem. My favorite memory of Gimmi was at a team offsite in New Orleans. He had bags of souvenirs for his entire family and kept checking to make sure he didn’t forget anyone. Here’s a picture of Gimmi enjoying a beignet at Cafe du monde. Rest peacefully sweet Gimmi. You’ll be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Sferra family. I worked with Gimmi for many years. We had a mutual love of hockey and soccer. I never met anyone quite like him. His exuberance, constant stream of hilarious jokes, but more than anything, his huge heart, were what I remember most. With Gimmi, it wasn't a handshake for a greeting, it was always a hug and a kiss. He was one of a kind. All that knew him will truly miss him greatly.

Gimmi was such a great guy, I worked with him at ShopRite in glassboro throughout my years at Rowan. He was always my favorite person to work with, always cracking jokes and making the shift go by faster. Always appreciated his words of wisdom and stories from the full life he had. Unfortunately it was cut short. I'm so sorry for his family and loved ones but his impact will live on with the memories he made with everyone he knew.

RIP Buddy, your attitude, humor and love of life will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolonces to the Sferra family. I met Gimmi when we worked at Wells Fargo together. We were not in the same town but we spoke over phone all the time and when we met in person we had a blast. Gimmi was definitely a force to be reckoned with and a unique person. He is already sorely missed and his memories will be cherished.
