Geraldine F. DePolter
(nee Bossong) On July 26, 2025, of Washington Twp. Age 79. Beloved wife of the late Andrew G. DePolter. Devoted mother of Amy Marie Taft (Ian) and Andrew J. DePolter (Jane). Loving grandmother of Grace. Dear sister of the late John Bossong.
Geri was a wonderful wife, mother and Grammy, who will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with her family and faithful dog, Bella. She loved having the family over on holidays and special occasions, especially her granddaughter, Grace, whom she doted on endlessly.
In her thirties, Geri, completed nursing school and realized her dream of becoming a nurse, all while simultaneously juggling her role as a wife and mother of two. She worked hard and spent much of her 30 year career as a nurse and later, nurse manager, at Kennedy Hospital, where she devoted her life to helping and caring for others in need.
In addition, Geri loved to shop, travel, and spend time researching her family’s genealogy. She also enjoyed hosting neighborhood game nights and organizing and participating in events at her local community center.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday, August 9th 9:30-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. At 11:00 AM there will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers and love offered by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center
