George J. Stallings

August 3, 1935 - June 12, 2012

George J. Stallings, on June 12, 2012, of Washington Twp. Age 76. Beloved husband of Bernadette nee Renz. Devoted father of Bernadette Shanahan George, George Laura, Theresa Walton Stephan, Anne Bexon Sam, Christina Hayes Joseph and Shirin. Loving grandfather of Rebecca, Kevin, Mariah, Pierson, Finnian, Liam, Jessica, Aiden and Caitie. Dear brother of Mary Taney, Leon Susan, Col. Joseph Fairy US Army Retired and the late Richard, Frank and Jack.

George was an administrator and principal in the Winslow Township School District for 33 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, going on “Rambles”, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Pops. He especially loved God and his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday 8:15 – 9:15 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

Stallings Family, I am truly sorry for your lost. I know from talking with George about your father's health that it has been tough for all of you over the last 12 years. Received a note from a friend who works in Winslow Schools and she informed me of Mr. Stallings passing. My children all went through School #2 while Mr. Stallings was principal. He was a caring principal who had the children's needs in mind always. My condolences to his family and my prayers being offered for a kind man.

Dear Bernadette and Family, What a great man George was, and is,as I think of you in your time of sorrow,what a great and close knit family you are,may you rely on each other's strength's to get you through this difficult time. We love and miss all of you. Please stay in touch.

To Chris, Joe, the kids, and all of the Stallings family I am sorry to hear of the passing of George. I met him in Hawaii and remember him as a nice and kind man who displayed enormous love and pride for his family. My thoughts are with you all during this time of grief.
