It is with great sadness that we bid our dearly departed and much loved Gabe God Speed to eternal peace. Blessings and hugs to all of the family on the loss of a truly great man. I have such wonderful memories of all the fun we had back in the neighborhood at Chews Landing. When my (now ex-) husband Walt and I moved in to our home at 24 Brandywine Rd., Gabe, Georgia, Tommy and Gina were our neighbors across the street and were among the first to welcome us. We became fast friends. Gabe was always the life of every party, and the social director of the block! He hosted such wonderful backyard barbeques (Italian style, of course!!!) with the best food and company. All the Marco-Sica families were in attendance...Grandmom Jesse, Uncle Tony at the grill, and Gabe and Georgia holding court over all. I had my first cannoli at Gabe's house! In fact, Gabe's house was my first intro to Italian food...and I've been spoiled for life ever since. Roasted peppers and fried hots were among my faves. Gabe always knew where to get and buy the best food..anywhere! He loved to gather a bunch of us up and drive over to South Philly to dine at that great place at 17th and Jackson that he loved, The Royal Villa, and he would always get that fabulous strawberry cake from The Cake Box, that awesome bakery across the street. Wherever we went with Gabe, we always had a blast! He was greeted and treated like rock stat royalty. He just loved to entertain and made sure everyone had a good time. I watched Scarface the other night, remembering that I first saw it in the theatre so many years ago with Gabe and Georgia. We went everywhere...dinner, AC, shows, you name it. Son Tommy was our ersatz handyman and helped Walt around the house, all while keeping us afoot of all the baseball and basketball scores, players, and more. Years have passed and we've all moved on but priceless memories of all the fun we all had will live forever in our hearts. Rest well, Gabe, you will be greatly missed. Keep the grills up there fired up. You know I'll be bringing my appetite! To all the Marco-Sica families, I extend heartfelt condolences, love, peace, and gratefulness to have known you all so long and so well. Until we meet again.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Gina and Pat, we were very sorry to hear of Mr. Marcovecchio's passing. May your family have nothing but happy rememberances. May God welcome him home as a true and faithful servant. To my friends Angelo and Anthony, your grandfather sounds like a very special person in your young lives. I know that he saw two amazing young men growing and displaying respect to people you meet. I am certain he will look over you both. God bless your family. Rest in Peace Sir. ? Tom and Lynn Armbruster

To My Godfather, My Dad's Nephew and Best Friend, My Mom's Favorite Nephew. Where do we begin to express the heartache our family feels at this time. My memories take me back to all the BBQ's at my house in Canarsie, with Gabe bringing the bushels of clams and kegs of beer. Once Gabe moved to New Jersey we continued the parties there for many years, and trips to Atlantic City as well. We can still giggle about all the memories our 2 families shared for decades. The annual trip to Saratoga in August between Gabe and Uncle Anthony would begin with arguments over the "tickets" in March. My Dad would yell at Gabe for the entire phone call, and Gabe being Gabe would just laugh at him. I now know for sure the 2 of them are at the racetrack still waiting for their winner. Rest in peace Gabriel, you will always be loved and remembered.
