DeSabatino family. We are so sorry. Fred was the unknown uncle when I married Drew. An uncle by marriage, but he soon became a dear friend. He was a man of pride, humility and character. He quickly became a close mentor and advisor in my career. We vacationed with Fred and Alma in Hawaii and cherish so many memories. He would tell us he was always ready for duty, both domestic and foreign. Fred, thank you for being my buddy. Rest in peace with your dear Alma. Love Harry and Drew

Patty McCann left a message on December 3, 2024:
My sincere condolences to the family. Fred is a legend who moved his family to the back of the Square in the early 70’s when families were big and luxuries little. I befriended his daughter Beth - the new girl who always had nice clothes that she graciously shared with her newfound friends. The family was humble so nobody knew what a successful business man Fred had become. Rest in peace Fred and thanks for keeping the full bar stocked in your man cave. xoxox

Semper Fi good neighbor!
Bill Riling left a message on December 1, 2024:
I'm so sorry for your family's loss but how lucky you were to have him for so long. Fred was one heck of a father and one hell of a Marine. When we were kids playing at the DeSabatino household, one stern look from Fred (who we nicknamed "Ferocious") might actually cause a kid to wet himself. But he was just as quick to break into a smile and laugh. He was always well respected and loved. He will be misssed.
Elaine Sartini left a message on December 1, 2024:
