Francis Patrick Houston of Washington Twp. passed peacefully on May 19th, 2014 to You the Lord and his loving son Danny in heaven. Age 69. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Kirby). Devoted father of Francis P., Jr. (Cristina) and the late Daniel Houston. Dear brother of Kathleen Butler and Eileen Konschak.

Frank’s greatest treasures were his wife, sons, daughter-in-law, sisters, family and friends. Even though Frank travelled the world in the Navy, his favorite times were spent in Sea Isle City, NJ with sand between his toes.

He was blessed with his Mount Airy brothers Brian, Henny, Michael, Terry, and Tom who christened him “Sam”. There were many memories made that will be forever cherished.

Frank had a long painful battle with Mesothelioma but we are grateful to have spent so much time with him during the last chapter of his great life. Greater than the sorrow from his death is the joy that he spread in his life. You will live forever in our hearts and we love you.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 10:30-11:30 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:45 am. Interment, the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Trustees of the University of PA 3535 Market St. Suite 750 Phila., PA 19104. Attention! Natalie Reznik, Mesothelioma & Pleural Program Abramson Cancer Center.

What I remember most about this trip were Frank's many stories and the games that Joanie was always signing us up for. Thanks for being such a good friend to Joe. We will miss you!

i remember him talking to your brother Christopher about doctors and saying he don't think they now what the heck they are talking about. Chris just kept saying "uh, hum" He could keep anyone laughing.

From all the memories shared here shows how his sense of humor, love, and caring spirit brought out the best in you all. Please allow Gods words found at John 5:28,29 and Psalms 37:11 bring you all much needed comfort. My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Frank.

I will miss Uncle Frank's stories about how children should be seen and not heard & how things were when he was a kid....despite his philosophy...he always listened to us...OR turned the TV up louder than us! Love you! Amy

Frank will always be my Pooh Bear who never tired of loving me. He was always proud of sons Frank and Dan .Thanks honey for our loving family life together.

I remember when Uncle Frank was asking me about where I am going to college and what I am studying. I responded by saying I'm in a 3+3 program. Uncle Frank responded with " what is that a slow program, I thought college was only 4 years". Always brought a smile to those around him. May you rest in peace. We remember Frank having us listening to his story telling, whether it was the story about him shopping, down the shore, or with his friends. You would feel like you were there with him. I remember our St. Lucia trip with Joe and Theresa...I followed everyone around with the camera while Theresa and Joanie joined every activity. I also remember the Irish pub we went to. Frank always made me laugh. He had so many funny stories. It was always a pleasure....he will be so missed. Joanie and family...I pray that your memories keep you strong...you are all in our prayers. Hey Uncle Frank, thought you were one cool dude as soon as I heard you were a real estate investor.....definitely helped to influence me and I was never scared off by the funny stories about your tenants....
