12 years later and I still think of you everyday Dad....were the best father, mentor, leader, and most importantly friend I ever had. Always gave me comfort that I had someone to fall back on when I was down no matter what you were dealing with yourself. You knew how to make the best out of the cards you were dealt and always had faith. I regret not having my child, Theo, nor marrying wife, Mati, young enough for you to be able to meet them both because there are not enough words for me to be able to demonstrate how good of a father and grandfather you always were to us all. You and Theo would have loved being with eachother and Mati would have seen you as the warmest person to be around. I hope there really is life after death and you are watching down on my family and I. Love you more than ever and with a heart of love that never will expire

Just want everyone to know what a great man my father was. My father was ALWAYS there for me no matter what. No matter what I did wrong or any decision I made in life, he was always behind me. He never judged! He coached me in baseball as a child and everyone that knew him loved him. He was always cracking a joke no matter what. As a matter of fact while on Kemo he fell down the steps and hit his head and still decided to make a joke out of it as he stated,"I was going for a long pass". He always knew how to make people smile. When I was young I used to get embarrassed by his outgoing personality but now that I'm older, I realize he had the right outlook on life and knew how to make light of any situation, but at the same time was a very responsible man who knew how to take care of his family. I can truely say that there is and never will be anyone like him! I love you dad!!!!

My sincere condolences to Liz and the rest of the Landolfis. Ferdie and I hit it off the first time we met; I picked up Barbara for her junior prom and the entire living room had wall to wall people. I was hit with a powerful flood light by someone taking pictures and the only person I could see was Ferdie. He commented something to the effect of welcome to the family. I sought him out at family functions and we found we had a tremendous amount in common. We stayed close throughout the next 44 years, as Ferdie became my best friend. We socialized, vacationed, watched each other's kids played sports, and most of all, we played GOLF. He taught me a great deal about golf, and together, I think we taught each other about life: wives, kids, jobs, finances and many more issues. We both benefited greatly from our friendship, as demonstrated by our wonderful families. I will miss Ferdie a great deal, more than I realize now. Good bye good friend. see you later. Love, Dave.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Ferdi as a young man and lost contact with him after college. He gew up, I never did. My last connect with him was via Facebook in later years and my comedic attempt left much to be desired. Trying to be funny I'm affraid I left an insulting impression and Ferdi never contacted me again and I understood why. I just would like to say He was the nicest person I have ever met. He was a joy to be with. Funny happy-go-lucky type of person. I will be forever distressed that I never kept in touch with him. He was truly a wonderful human being and a good friend.
