Hi Millie, Mom Di, Joe and I tried to make it to the viewing but my trans went on my van- stuck in South Philly! We really liked Gene - nice guy with a good sense of humor! He was patient with all the Aunt Helen issues. We're sorry for your loss but at least he's not suffering now since he had gotten so sick. Blessings to you and all your and Gene's family.

I am a friend from many years ago. I remember everyone from Vodges Street, Philadelphia. I am so very sorry for your loss. I just wanted to share a memory of your Dad. When I was a little girl and just learned to ride a two wheel bike, I fell and really hurt my knee. Your Dad was my Knight in Shining Armor. He picked me up, dusted me off, and told me a story of when he fell off his bike. True or not he made me feel so much better. He told me to get right back on and ride. I often recall that great memory. I think that was your Dad. Always nice to everyone. A real class act. Thank you Mr. Dyer for that memory I have had all my life.

Uncle Gene....I know that you are now in a better place but I will always miss you. You were the second man in my life to buy me flowers and I will never forget that. Thanks for loving my aunt Millie and standing in at my wedding as my grandfather. That meant the world to me. You truely were a remarkable man and I know that you will be missed by my entire family. Rest in peace.
