Erna Margaritte (nee Held) Huber passed on June 21, 2016, in Hilliard, Florida. She was preceded by Her Mother Barbette (nee Sperber) Held and Her Father Karl Held.

Erna was born on May 11, 1928 in Ansbach, Germany. During World War II Erna met Michael Huber, an American Soldier station at the Camp closest to Erna`s home.
She married her True Love on Sept 25, 1948. What a love they shared for 62 years.

Coming to the USA, Erna worked hard to learn to speak English and become a US Citizen. She received her Citizenship on Flag Day – June 14, 1950. Erna gave up a lot to
follow her true love – such as Her German Citizenship and not being able to see her family for years- but she never regretted it.

Erna and Mike`s marriage produced 4 children – Barbara Wethman (Bill), Linda Woodrow (Chuck), Michael ( Kathy)and John (Cindy).
There are 16 grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Grand Child.

Erna was very involved in her Washington Township Community. She raised funds for WTHS PTO, Deborah Heart Lung Hospital, Wedgwood Women`s Club, American Legion Post #521.
Erna made many food baskets for families around the holidays.

Erna never met a stranger – she spoke to everyone. If you went with her to the supermarket “to pick up a few thing” – know that you were going to be there hours – she met everyone and had to talk .

Erna had many talents – she could do anything with a needle – Quilting, Crocheting, Knitting and her prized Cross stitch. Many people benefited from her beautiful Cross Stitch Pictures – she worked on many projects by request and for months.

Erna was know by most people as “The Mommmom”. She was always free with her opinion – no filter. The Mommom was our Queen – she held Court up to the end. She was the cutest, funniest, sweetest
Mommom ever. She told many stories about Germany – She was the Best of the Best.

Erna left a mark on everyone – she will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 7:00 – 9:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Celebration of Life 10:00 AM. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.

To Erna's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am just reading this today, I had no idea. I knew your Mom from the Wedgwood Women's Club for many years. She was the sweetest lady. Her and your Dad always helped out with the many functions we had. I would take her home from the meetings most months. She will be missed. Dear Huber family: I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

To all of the family Mike and I send our prayers and heartfelt condolences we met many of you while visiting in Florida and have a heavy heart for your loss

Erna and I shared Andrew in Florida, I am Giga, or Halina Brown, we met pops at first when Mike and Kathy were getting married, I am Polish so we shared few Polish words together, most recently mom Huber and I shared Andrew in Florida, Lala, and Donovan, when she was staying and being cared for by Kathy. She just brightened up so by these children, her smile was simply magical as she watched them play, and then Lala would come and lay her head on her lap and she would just light up like a Christmas tree, in addition Andrew gave extra hugs because he is much older than his 11yrs, and Donovan loved having an extra grandma around, for myself, I am from Poland so we were able to enjoy the German music and share the old country stories between us, mine were not as sad, mommom had many stories to tell and I loved hearing them, my heart felt sympathy to all of the family and I personally will miss her beautiful smile. Love and prayers for all of the family, the Browns in Kentucky.

I remember Erna with great fondness. She was always kind and graced our neighborhood with her warm and friendly smile. My condolences to all who knew and loved this very special lady. May she rest welll.

To the Huber Family I express my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort and peace in the promise that God will swallow up death forever and wipe away the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8

Mommom... what can I say. She was with me through my pregnancy. Had no issues telling me when I was putting too much weight on lol. When I finally had Jaxon, she gave him advice on how to be a good man. I wish he was old enough to realize what she was telling him. My husband and I joined Shana and mommom for valentines day. She told us stories of her past. Mostly about the love of her life. If I've leaned anything from her, it was to not give up. Go for what you want. She was such an amazing woman I am so honered to have had her in my life. My heart breaks for her family but I know she's resting now. She was tough for a long time, but she is with her love once again, and in all the sadness... That at least makes me smile. Mommom..I love you and you will forever be missed

From the very first moment that I met Erna, I knew she was special. We spoke about her life as a child in Germany and how she met her beloved Michael.
