September 21, 1922 - August 14, 2012

Elvira “Vera” DiCarlo nee Incognito on August 14, 2012, of Washington Twp. Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Carmine. Devoted mother of Joann Nace Tom. Loving grandmother of Karen, Laura and David. Dear sister of Angela Incognito and Marie DeVincent.

Until retiring at the age of 80, Vera was a supervisor at Riverside Sportswear in Riverside, NJ. After retirement, she volunteered at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. Vera’s love of family and zest for life made her a special person to all who know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Memorial Mass 11:00 am. Inurnment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vera’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 785 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. Arrangements are under the care of the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, Washington Twp.

Joann and Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Being one of the Marshall Girls, I feel really blessed that your Mother was in our life for so many years. She was always there for us at all of our big events, graduations, weddings, christenings, etc. Vera was family to us. Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed, but I will forever see her sitting in our old dining room in Pennsauken on a Saturday night with your father, and my parents playing penny poker, and all the while, your Mom was sleeping, and winning while she was sleeping.
