Eileen D. Giusti, (nee Murphy), died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, February 19th, at the age of 78. She recently resided at The Terraces at Parke Place and was a life long resident of South Jersey. Born in Wildwood, August 7, 1939 she was the daughter of Francis and Beatrice Murphy (deceased), Eileen was raised in Gloucester, New Jersey graduating from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1957. Mom enjoyed her “Ram” reunions and GCHS sorority girl get-togethers right up until the end.
Mom married Anthony Giusti in 1965 and moved to Washington Twp. where they raised their three daughters. She worked for the Washington Twp. Police Department and then the Gloucester County Housing Authority from where she retired in 2008. Mom loved traveling especially her trips to Europe and Hawaii as well as getaways to Cape May and New York where she loved to catch a show or listen to a good piano player. She loved all trivia games (especially Jeopardy) and a good New York Times puzzle. She loved all things Irish as evident by all her Irish mementos and her annual St. Patty’s Day Bar Hop. Mom though, especially cherished her 8 grandchildren. She was there for their games, recitals, and graduations (from Pre-K through college). She was their biggest cheerleader no matter what they did!
Beloved wife of the late Anthony C. Devoted mother of Kathy Hohman (Jim), Eileen Donnelly (Paul), and Chrissy O’Hara. Loving grandmother of Chris, Marty, Séany, Ally, Kristine, Connor, Colin, and Kevin. Dear sister of Bernice Wentz, Joan Pierce, Stephen Murphy and the late Francis Murphy. Cherished lifelong childhood friend of Pat Ragen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 8:45 – 10:45 AM at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stage Coach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
