Edward J. Gee, Sr.
On April 5, 2022 of Blackwood. Age 87. Beloved husband of Margaret E. (nee Crothers). Devoted father of Edward J. Gee, Jr. (Suzanne), Bethann Gee-Nobel (Michael), and Marla Hotz (Charles). Loving grandfather Kelly, Stanley (Jerica), Sean, Liam, Daniel (Stephanie) Colleen (Christopher), Edward, III, Ian, Charles, Jr., Amanda (Chase), and Heather (Nicholas). Proud great-grandfather of Madison, Daniel, Alaina, Brooklyn, Garrett, Raelyn, Lawson, Cadence, Canon, Chord, Rayna, and Edward IV. Dear brother of Douglas Gee, Susan Weber and the late Frank Gee and Freddie Gee.
As a young man in the 1950’s he became a Free Mason, of the Mozart Chapter. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to work for RCA – Camden for 19 years. He then went on to work for Stone and Webster, United Engineers, Raytheon Engineers and then to the Salem Nuclear Plants 1 & 2. He retired from Highland High School after 11 years in the janitorial position. During these years he was a baseball and softball coach and volunteered for girls sports. He was a member of Highland Booster Club for many and had multiple jobs during those years in helping with the football program and was involved in all sports fields maintenance.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, April 21st, 12:30-2:30 PM at the Blackwood United Methodist Church, 35 East Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Funeral service 2:30 PM.
