Dr. James G. Gorman, Jr. (1966 – 2025)
Dr. James G. Gorman, Jr. passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 59, surrounded by his family. Jim was the epitome of hard work, perseverance, and love. He dedicated his life to helping others and used his skills as a doctor to make his patients’ lives better. Jim was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Kennedy/Jefferson Hospital. He practiced for over 20 years. He also served as an assistant professor helping shape the next generation of doctors.
Jim was a staunch advocate for animals and he will be sorely missed by his loyal German Shepherd, Duke. Jim was a dedicated son and always ensured that his parents were well cared for. Those who knew him well, knew he loved his cars. Most of all, he loved spending time with his two sons. He loved his family vacations with them. He was always supportive of them and he was present in the bleachers at every single one of their sporting events. Watching their games was his favorite hobby.
Jim’s unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. Devoted father of James G. Gorman III and Nathan Gorman. Loving grandfather. Cherished son. Dear brother. Loved by his nieces and nephews.
