Dolores “Lorrie” R. Quigley
(nee MacAdoo) On May 24, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late James Quigley. Devoted mother of Maureen Pasternak and Kathy Hudak (Christopher). Loving grandmother of James (Jamie), Katie, Stacey, and Shannon.
Lorrie grew up at Saint Vincent’s orphanage with the Sisters of Charity. While attending West Catholic High School for Girls, she met the love of her life, Jim at a school dance. They dated for several years and eventually got married. Lorrie learned to cook and loved to cook for Jim. She and Jim had two daughters and she had high expectations of herself as a mother. Dinners were always an international adventure in fine cuisine. Reading and music were very important to Lorrie and she shared both those loves with her children. She had a beautiful alto voice and often sang while she worked. Once her children were in school, Lorrie volunteered at their school as a reading resource teacher and also volunteered at Saint John of God school. She loved doing creative projects, especially ceramics. She made many gifts for friends and family. She was into physical fitness and could often be found at the CYO in Blackwood attending aerobics classes. She loved to travel, the beach and her grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Wednesday 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 pm.
