Dear Cousin's Mackenzie and Family, May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. I knew Uncle Joe as a legendary salesman, having gained insight from Brian Sullivan who worked with Uncle Joe and spoke highly of Joe's character, setting the bar of integrity. It's been many years since I've seen most of you. Sheila and Joe, their story told in so many children and grandchildren, and often reminded to me by my mother, Joe's little sister. My cousins, I've learned is all that's left in connection with my father's family. I know my mother looked up to Uncle Joe and her loss is great. So strong, is my mother's faith like her sibling's. Studying their story the obstacles they faced, encourages me forward. “With what a deep devotedness of woe I wept thy absence – o’er and o’er again. Thinking of thee, still thee, till thought grew pain, and memory, like a drop that, night and day, falls cold and ceaseless, wore my heart away!” ~ Thomas Moore, 1779 God Bless

Brian Lynn left a message on October 9, 2012:
I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Joe in my early years at SPS. He had so many great stories about his WWII service as well as playing baseball for the Dodgers farm team, when Jackie Robinson was breaking in. I learned a lot from him. He was both "lucky" and "good".
