Suddenly on November 10th David M. Kmiec of Washington Township at age 58 passed on. He is the beloved husband of Julia (nee Jannetti), devoted father of Charles J. Kmiec, son of the late John and Eleanore Kmiec, dear brother of Janet Kmiec York , Mark and the late Kenneth Kmiec. Loving brother-in-law of Ann Kmiec, Andrew Jannetti, Anthony Jannetti, and Roseann Jannetti. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
David grew up in Runnemede, NJ and was a 1975 graduate of Pope Paul VI. He served in the US Army, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and received medals for expert marksmanship. Since leaving the army, he has had a long career in the roofing and siding business as part of the management team, and was currently working at ABC Supply. David was a dedicated employee who truly enjoyed working with his team in Lakewood, NJ.
David had a passion for outdoor activities that included boating, fishing, hunting and camping with his lifelong friends. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America as an assistant Scout Master and was instrumental in aiding his son Charlie and his fellow scouts in achieving Eagle Scout status.
He met the love of his life in 1986, married in 1987 and has been happily married for 28 years. David enjoyed sharing his culinary expertise by cooking and barbequing for his friends and family at many gatherings. Everyone came when Dave cooked!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday 9:15-10:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at SS Peter and Paul RC Church, Washington Township. Internment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the Charles Kmiec Education Fund c/o TD Bank 284 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.
